Bank Account Linking (Plaid)

We use Plaid Inc. ("Plaid") as a third-party processor to link bank accounts for ACH payments. When you link an account, Plaid collects your bank login and account information directly. Plaid shares with us only the account name, account type and subtype, the last four digits of the account number, and current and available balances. Your full account and routing numbers are passed by Plaid directly to our payment processor, Stripe, to set up ACH payments; we do not receive or store them. We do not request your transaction history or identity information from Plaid. Plaid's handling of your data is governed by the Plaid End User Privacy Policy.

  • You give consent through Plaid Link before any bank account is linked. No account is linked without that consent.
  • The access credentials Plaid issues to us are encrypted at rest and are never shown to staff or other users.
  • When you unlink a bank account, we remove the connection (the Plaid Item) at Plaid and delete the stored access tokens, subject to any legal-hold or record-retention obligations that require us to keep related records.

5. Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures including:

  • Encryption in transit (TLS/SSL) and at rest
  • Access controls and authentication
  • Regular security audits
  • Employee training on data protection

6. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services. Upon account termination, we retain data as required by law or legitimate business purposes.

  • Access your personal data
  • Correct inaccurate data
